Elly Griffiths is one of my absolute favorites in crime fiction. She’s mostly known for her books about forensic archaeologist Ruth Galloway but she has also written 3 books with Stephens/ Mephisto as main characters.
I have just finished reading the novel Bloodcard where detective Stephens and magician Mephisto are facing serious troubles on the coronation day of queen Elizabeth
The next book about Ruth Galloway , The Chalk Pit will be released next year. While waiting for that one I shall read the Italian Quarter written under her real name Domenica de Rosa.
